Hayley Orantia is an American actress, musician and singer. People are most familiar with her character Erica Goldberg in the comedy The Goldbergs' TV show. However, she considers herself primarily an artist. According to her, music is her first passion. She was experimenting in since the age of nine years old. At the age of 12, music became important enough to begin professional training. At 13, she began writing songs. The first time she recorded an album at 14 years old. From that point on, there's been never a moment to rest. Orrantia is a native American with Hispanic origins. Her family has Hispanic roots even if she was only able to speak English when a young girl and her whole life was in the USA. By learning Spanish and writing songs she tries to preserve the tradition. She recorded a Spanish version of a song, titled 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia tried out for The X Factor in 2011. Orrantia took home the very first season of the X Factor after she submitted an YouTube recording of her audition. She was awarded an impressive four "yes" vote by the judge on the live stage audition in Seattle. She originally auditioned solo, but in "Hollywood Week" she was put together with three female singers in a trio for the remainder of the auditions. They were eliminated from the show in the fifth live week.
