Zoe-perry
Perry is the daughter to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry, a director. Her first roles on television were two episodes on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mother. The actress was not permitted to perform from the time she reached the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the anxiety it could cause. Perry was shy during high school and was not a performer. She started acting at Northwestern University to gain friends when she transferred from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry was able to move in New York to search for television work landing small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought her back to California in search of theater work. The show she performed in was Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. She also appeared alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie with the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry made an appearance in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017, Perry had a minor role on ABC's political thriller Scandal which starred her father. Also in 2017, she portrayed a child version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) in which she played her mother as a young version. She was cast in the role despite her close connections to the character's family.
